Fire pumps are the heart of your fire sprinkler system and must be operating at maximum potential at all times. Preventive maintenance needs to be performed throughout the year to reduce system malfunction and to exercise all moving parts.
Full capacity fire pump testing measures the volume of water discharged at 50%, 100%, and 150% of the manufacturer's design rating. During the capacity test, voltage amp readings are observed to be sure your motor is not overloading and emergency power transfer is witnessed. Full capacity fire pump testing is imperative and usually performed once a year unless the authority having jurisdiction required more frequent testing.
Castle Sprinkler & Alarm uses only custom-built UL Listed equipment to provide more accurate results in performing full capacity fire pump testing. Our certified fire pump technicians will ensure your fire pump is performing according to the highest specifications outlined in the National Fire Protection Association's Booklet 20.
