Periodic inspection, testing and maintenance is required on automatic fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems and fire pump systems per government, state, county, city, and insurance underwriters. Copies of reports of inspection, testing and maintenance must be maintained on premises for review at all times. Castle Sprinkler & Alarm conducts all the required inspection testing and maintenance per the Authority Having Jurisdiction professionally by employing only qualified experienced NICET certified technicians.
Frequency of inspection testing:
Automatic fire systems and equipment must be inspected and tested as required by the authority having jurisdiction. Inspection, testing, and maintenance frequencies are outlined per the latest edition of the National Fire Protection Association. Additional inspection testing may be required per your insurance company or the authority having jurisdiction.
How the inspection test is to be conducted:
Our inspection test coordinator will contact the property manager and/or engineer responsible for the property to schedule the required fire system inspection test. The responsible party, at a minimum of one week prior to the inspection testing, will be required to post memos throughout the building, informing them of the date and time the inspection testing will commence. Upon our arrival, we will contact your monitoring company and the fire department to alert them that we are conducting testing. The first part of the inspection is to test all the fire alarm audible visual devices. When completed, in most cases, the audible visual devices could be silenced during the remainder of the testing.
It is our practice to maintain as little disturbance to your tenants and/or employees as possible. Our inspection testing will comply with the highest standards enforced by the authority having jurisdiction. All our technicians are NICET certified. After we have completed our inspection testing, a full report will be left on-site for your property file.
